Ingredient Descriptions:

The Global FoodBanking Network is an international food bank non-profit spanning over 40 countries, working towards a hunger-free future by establishing a strong network of food banks to provide for needy communities. By cooperating with existing local banks and providing the tools to build new ones, their influence has spread across the globe. Additionally, one of their chief goals is reducing food loss; rather than letting surplus goods go to waste, they repurpose them and redistribute them to those facing hunger using their food banks.

Their mission is to move human society to live in ways that protect Earth's environment and its capacity to provide for future generations. In particular, their branch of food research tackles the issue of sustainable food production and how to increase productivity while reducing waste and harmful emissions. This organization is focused on long term improvements and extensive research, rather than direct humanitarian aid.

Not to be confused with the North Central Indiana based organization, Food Finders is a food rescue non profit focused on eliminating both hunger and food waste. Founded with this in mind, it operates today by collecting excess meals and food from locations such as schools, hospitals, and restaurants, distributing them to nonprofit recipients or the needy. The organization grew from serving local Long Beach nonprofits to one that now serves much of Southern California, with more than 350 nonprofit partners, over 700 food donors and an average of 11 million pounds of food rescued annually to address hunger and reduce food waste.
